It is my honor as Speaker of the South Carolina House of Representatives to ensure that the voices of citizens across our community are heard in the work we do at the State House.

To do this, I ask for your help by completing the below survey. Your responses will help me better understand your views on legislation that has already been filed, bills that may be considered, and administrative issues that will be addressed during the 2026 legislative session.

Your opinions are important to me and will help shape legislation and budget priorities across our state.

I am committed to leading a House focused on fiscal responsibility, accountability, and practical solutions that strengthen families, support small businesses, improve infrastructure, and keep our communities safe.

In Sumter, I’m proud of the work Team Sumter has done to bring economic development into our County, bring good jobs to our citizens, and increase quality of life throughout the district.

I’d like to highlight some figures that reflect that work:

• From 2015-2025, Per Capita Income in Sumter County has risen from $36,077 to $49,704, a 38% increase.
• Sumter’s GDP has increased 42.3% since 2015, from $3.6 billion to $5.1 billion.
• There have been more than 1,600 new industrial jobs created since 2015, with countless small business jobs as well.

As always, there is still work to be done. I anticipate that many of the issues you will see below will be discussed early in the session. Your prompt response will assist me in ensuring that your priorities are considered as legislation is debated and voted on.
